Learn About the People Behind Responsible Day Trading

Hello there friends!

My name is Lindsay Duff.  I am the founder and one of the creators here at Responsible Day Trading.  I have been fortunate enough to cross paths with many inspired and like-minded traders since my adventure in Day Trading began in 2003. It has been such a pleasure to grow together with many of them and even see a few join me in the RDT quest to help others become more than they could have ever imagined by lighting the way on the Day Trading journey.

At RDT, we find such joy in working with traders who are looking to create a clear, confident and consistent path in order to engage in well-informed and growth-inducing activity when it comes to their trading performance. We understand that not every single trade will be a winner but we also know that every single trade, win or lose, will be an opportunity to learn and grow.

So, let's dive in.

When you think of the word "responsible", what comes to mind?

Maybe all the things you’ve done right---OR maybe even all the things you’ve done wrong.  Responsibility really requires you to look at both ends of the spectrum.  The things you’re doing to push yourself forward AND the things you’re doing to hold yourself back.

At Responsible Day Trading, we have spent our time in the trenches.

We know what it feels like to struggle and to work through the fears that come with:

βœ” FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
βœ” FOF (Fear of Failure)
βœ” Revenge Trading
βœ” Over Trading
βœ” Paralysis by Over Analysis
βœ” Getting in Too Early
βœ” Getting in Too Late
βœ” Understanding Risk to Reward Ratio
βœ” And Just Generally Beating Ourselves Up for Not Being Perfect

We have been lucky enough to have been able to work with hundreds of students each year and have been able to see things from a very unique position.

We have been able to walk into the personal lives of people who have been at all levels of their journey with trading.  We’ve worked with traders who were just laying their eyes on E-minis for the first time and ones who have been searching for the answer for years.

Responsible Day Trading is more of a way of life than just a trading program.

If there’s one thing we learned from our journeys—it is that—if you find yourself struggling in different arenas of your life, you will find that same struggle in your trading life. Traders we’ve worked with have shared their charts, their strengths, their weaknesses, their hopes and dreams with us… Some have even shared meals, their homes and mini vacations with us, so needless to say--- I’ve spent some time getting to know these guys and gals--- and wouldn’t have it any other way.

When you become a student here at RDT, you become family.

Your concerns will be our concerns.  Your struggles will be our struggles…. Because your success means more to us than you would think—but believe this—if you’re here with us, you won’t just know it… You will FEEL it!

Our mission here is to create independently profitable Day Traders that will not need to rely on constant assistance from:

✘ A tech team—because I will teach you the ins and outs of the programs we use together.  There are videos on the website on how to work every aspect of NinjaTrader. If you need refreshers on it, of course we will be happy to help you out!  If we’re available (and with today’s technology we’re almost ALWAYS available) then you should expect a pretty quick reply to help set you straight.

✘ A trading room—While some believe this to be necessary, after YEARS of running rooms and watching people pop in and out of them to find that golden ticket—we’ve realized:

➠ These rooms actually make you MORE dependent on the person running the room---thus consistently handing over a VERY hefty sum to the company to remain in them

➠ You’re at the mercy of the person running the room.  If they’re having a bad day—YOU’RE going to have a bad day because you’re following their calls.

➠ You also are restricted to the times you trade—because the rooms don’t run all day—so it takes away your freedom to trade when you feel the moment.

Here at RDT, the structure of learning has been worked and reworked over several years to make sure that you will get the biggest benefit of it all.

We start from the very basics of learning and expand to customizing the program to fit you and your needs.

βœ” First and foremost—you will never feel alone in this process. If you need help, just ask!

βœ” We will walk you through every step to set up NinjaTrader, your indicators and to get your charts looking clear and concise.

βœ” We will start at the smallest basics of what you see on your chart and will continue to expand until we have a full wealth of knowledge on how to use and read your indicators and charts.

βœ” At the end of each chapter, there will be homework.. This work is EXTREMELY important. This will help us to see that you’re understand everything properly and will allow us to get you the information to correct your way of thinking if it happened to stray a bit.

βœ” Once your homework is received, you will get a reply back within 24-48 hours that will be in video form. We will break down every example you have sent in. We will show you examples you missed on your chart—and if we think you need extra assistance, we will show you TONS of examples from our own charts. This way, everything is crystal clear when it is time to (possibly) redo the homework.

βœ” All of this homework is stored on your own personal Dropbox file that we create for you AND that you will have full access to.

βœ” Once you have completed the curriculum, then we will have online, interactive, 1-on-1 sessions that will allow for us to spend some quality time (an hour or more) in order to go through what you’ve learned, together. This will also be recorded and stored in the Dropbox—this way any lessons you may have learned and possibly forgotten, will be easy to reference in the future.

βœ” The Vault is another great resource for students.  All levels of membership will have access to The Vault and can go there to watch videos for more education.  This is an extended area of learning that takes the videos non-students will see on YouTube (that typically last 10-15 minutes) and will have access to entire days of trading. The Vault houses all of our trading days for the last year along with all of the commentary as to why an entry or an exit was taken.

There are TONS of resources for you here at RDT and we are working to expand them for you every day.

We want to see every single student walk away from here with their head held high and their accounts getting bigger.  We want to be a part of your process.  We want to watch you grow, change, learn and become accountable for your trading actions.. Responsibility, in our minds—starts with here with us, by example. And we are going to show you how it is done!

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. CFTC Rules 4.41 - Hypothetical or Simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, because the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs, in general, are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
