Toughest Day in MONTHS for Me! Struggling for Profits on the Emini S&P500 +5.25 Points

Nov 19, 2020

Holy Schnikes!!  I really struggled today.  I held trades too long, I was trying my darndest to break through the 3618 area all by my lonesome and my piddly 3 contracts just weren’t going to make it happen.  It didn’t help that I started my day with a LOT going on and putting out fires all over the place—which had me in a bit of a funk.

I held my first trade for the full loss when it TOUCHED MY TARGET and didn’t take the exit when it didn’t take my exit.  After that, I added contracts until I was blue in the face and held trades for far longer than they said I should.

THEN the big kicker came in.  Because I haven’t been adding contracts much since I moved up in contracts and since I moved a chart into play that I don’t use often, I didn’t have my order submission set right and when I added in contracts in the end—it combined my stop and targets with my previous trades.  This is NOT what I was expecting and it threw a wrench in my whole being as a trader resulting in my last trade coming back with 3 contracts at a break even.

Ahhh well—long story short, I knew better than to trade when I was already feeling a bit of a funk BUT because of spending the last few years learning how to properly deal with that kind of situation, I was still able to squeak out some profits.  It is definitely not great feeling but it DOES feel good to really look and see that progress truly has been made on the mental side of things.

Alrighty folks, time to wrap it for today.  I do plan to be here tomorrow but maaaay give it a day to breathe and hit it on Thursday.  Either way, I’ll catch y’all around soon my friends! Much love, awesomeness and responsibility to you all you amazing peeps!
