Sunday January 8, 2023 Emini S&P Market Rundown & Managing Smaller Moves w/ Responsible Day Trading

Jan 08, 2023

Hello my friends! I hope that you had a beautiful holiday break and you’re ready to get back to it! I know I am!! This market has been running so slow and it might have been a little hard to trust the moves. After being stuck between the same areas for about 2 weeks, it has been difficult to trust the moves. For me,  looking at the way the Daily MACDs were acting at the area, I was really expecting it to push down.

But this is why I don’t trade the Daily chart. I can find myself making decisions influenced by the Daily chart if I allow myself to hang on that thought process for too long. This is also why it’s important to have a strategy that allows you to be flexible. If the market is moving slower and making smaller moves, it’s important to find a way to lean in to that if you feel you must trade during those times. If the strategy doesn’t allow for change and fluctuation in the market, then you’re dead in the water until the market fits back into your scenario.

So, today we talked about how to move some charts around and use some of them that I wouldn’t normally put into play- like the 610 and the 4181. But we also talk about how to move your main trading chart over a bit and let a smaller, more reasonable chart, take the place of it while we take advantage of the quicker, smaller moves. It is so important to be able to move with the market and learning way to adjust to it is so key to the craft.

As I’ve said, all I use is Fibonacci numbers, so it isn’t just random numbers thrown in the mix. It’s well thought out and planned in order to keep the flow between all the charts, the EMAs and the MACDs. If you need some help to understand how to make this change, please feel free to reach out and I’ll be happy to help!

I hope that everyone has a fabulous 2023! Make this your year to make the moves that you know you want in your lives my friends. I’ll be over here cheering you on and looking forward to catching YOU on the profitable side!
