Monday Morning Market Expectations on the Emini S&P 500 with Responsible Day Trading 4-11-22

Apr 11, 2022

Hello and happy Monday my friends! As we know, since we have Good Friday this week, this is going to be a short week.  Typically with holidays like this, we tend to see a slower moving market as some traders may have taken an early vacation.

And I’m starting to think that my brain is already on vacation as well.  The price has pulled in to the flat EMAs on the Daily chart and I can’t get my mind off the thought of longs.  The area DOES say more up—but we don’t trade simply based on areas—we need to see reason.  Because if we trade on a “hunch” then we’ll see the price slash through that though process like a hot knife through butter.

The best thing to do is to wait for the signals instead of trying to make the market move on your own.  While it sounds like a fun plant to power the market in the direction we think it should go—the millions of other players out there would beg to differ with that thought process.

With that in mind, I might take some time off of trading this week so I can make sure my head is on straight and that I’m not working to make moves that I WANT to happen instead of what I SEE happen.  It can be a fine game of getting to know yourself—and believe me—self-evaluation in these kinds of situations are crucial to the survival of your trading account.  Without it, you might just jump in the market all Willy-Nilly and have no rhyme or reason as to why.  And as we know, this won’t help you stay on the right side of green.

Alrighty folks, I hope that you all take it easy, have a wonderful week and a fabulous holiday weekend!  Much love friends and we’ll catch you around soon!

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or lifestyle. CFTC Rules 4.41 - Hypothetical or Simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, because the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs, in general, are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
