Making Profitable Moves on a Monday Morning! Trading the S&P 500 with the RDT Strategy +80.75 Points

Nov 23, 2021

Hello and welcome to this glorious Monday Morning my friends!! So, I legitimately hit enter by accident on the first one.. just a bit of a heavy finger resting on the mouse. Due to that—I held on to it for about 3 seconds—and decided I needed to let it go because accidents in the market don’t usually turn out to be “happy accidents”.. So even if it had gone, my rules tell me, I needed to exit that trade.

Because of this, my next few, I followed a bit close with the stop—a little unnerved by the 2nd trade being a loss as well. I’ve been doing this long enough to notice when I’m starting to do things like that and that I can’t let fear take the wheel—only truths in what I understand about the patterns I see. Because that’s what gets me where I am… fear gets me nowhere but with more red in my account.

Another thing about my trading—you can see that I have been adding more and more contracts lately. This is because I’m considering moving up from 4 contracts at a time to somewhere along the lines of 8. So this is all in the effort to get me more comfortable with having more contracts on at a time. I mean, if I do have 8 and I decide to double down, that will be 16 contracts…which is a might big jump from just 4. So, when I see the reasons to add on, I’ve been allowing myself to more and more.

Now, on my last trade, my dog- straight UP—gave me a heart attack. (P.S. Minute15—be prepared and turn down your sound!) She had to protect us from the evil delivery people who show up here and I had to actually walk away while it was running in my favor. So, I set my stops where I didn’t want the market to go and took care of business. Was happy to come back and see that trade was already up more than I had made for the entire morning so far—so I let that sucker RUN!

Needless to say—45 minutes of patience gave me so much more in reward! I appreciate it and I’m thankful that I have the time, ability and presence to not only make myself profitable—but those around me as well!

Much love good peeps!! Enjoy the time off this week and we’ll catch y’all around soon!!
