Friday Trading on the MES w/1 HUGE Hit to My Stop and 1 HUGE Winner! +17.75 Points

day trading trading recaps Jan 09, 2021

Helloooo Traders and HAPPY FRIDAY!!  Today was all about working with the stop and the market button!  It used to be a GIANT no-no for me to move my stop but when times change, so shall this trader.  I’ve always been a drag and drop kind of girl but lately, I’ve had to learn to be more comfortable with using my Buy and Sell Button while also moving my risk but ONLY for the right reason!

My first trade was a bigger loss I have taken in longer than can remember.  And as SOON as it took me, I really saw the error of my ways.  I also vowed not to let it happen again.  So, the NEXT time I entered a trade that was the exact same thing—I managed the trade properly and pulled out a wee bit of profit.

The final trade I took was a doozy!  I took that huge drop and it wrapped up my day with a nice little bow.  The MACDs were screaming at me to take it— and if I’ll be honest—the screamed at me to stay in a little longer than I did.  I was good with what I got and ready to shut it down though—so that’s where I went with that.

Alrighty folks!  The weekend is here and I’ve got some rules to write around allowing me to move my trade so I can not only stay consistent, but I can help other to as well. I absolutely LOVE this journey and find joy in it—even when things don’t work out—because that just means it gives me amazing opportunities to learn, grow and share it with others J

That is a wrap for this week folks!  Much love to you all beautiful peeps and we’ll catch y'all around next week!

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. CFTC Rules 4.41 - Hypothetical or Simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, because the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs, in general, are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
