A Losing Day! Struggling to Keep My Mind on the Market and Ending the Day in the RED!

Jan 31, 2022

Man, I knew from the get-go that this wasn’t the day for me. I watched the market for over an hour before I even placed a trade. I think it was a frustration trade because it was like, “I’ve been sitting here FOREVER, so ONE of these has to work!”

It’s the way my mind works when I see a lot of trades go bay that are just too hard to catch… which is exactly what happened today. If you’re in The Vault, then you can hear me discuss all the trades I see as they happen BUT they give me FAR too much risk to be able to comfortably take the trade (and I do think I dropped an F-bomb in the extended video somewhere, so I’ll just apologize now—sorry!).. So I sat and I sat and I sat—until I just broke down and started trading.

I started with 3 losing trades that had me singing to the tune of -27.25 but did a little work and in 2 trades had myself getting close back to that break even. I ended up with 4 points in the red today proving that yes—even I DO have losing days! It was 2 hours of funk and thoughts that had me not in the right place.. I was trying to force something that just wasn’t there yet. I can see as we’re nearing the end of the day and I’m getting things wrapped up that it DID finally go back down—but when patience is key and you’re patience is thin—things can go quite awry.

Either way it goes, I’ll chalk it up to the game.. I’ll just say that it was my turn to contribute and I’ll live to trade another day—maybe Friday will be that day 😉 Hope you all had patience and made responsible decisions today my friends and if you didn’t—I hope you take the time to learn from each loss so it can now become a lesson!

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or lifestyle. CFTC Rules 4.41 - Hypothetical or Simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, because the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs, in general, are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
